But can you imagine if each of us start to change ourselves for the better, would that not make the world a better place?!

:D

VidyaVidyahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00277709631038520065noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8246242407524037999.post-40475471725240898472007-09-16T05:50:00.000-07:002007-09-16T05:50:00.000-07:00Naveen,This is an interesting topic... Have been reading on this topic quite some time back.. and these days not able to read much...

Somehow I believe both the physics as well as what our scriptures say about universe, matter etc are all energy based. From my own personal experience, i tend to believe this basis more and more. But mixing religious rituals with spirituality is what I am comfortable with. I believe, spirituality and religious rituals are different and to kept separate... at times many yogis (of course not all) try to cover spirituality with religious rituals, which leads to people blindly tend to doing the rituals without understanding the underpinning spiritual concepts or principles.

Will try to read the books you have suggested as well as prasanth suggested...Rajeev Shttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18159426272551910960noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8246242407524037999.post-69364802623677235862007-09-15T13:13:00.000-07:002007-09-15T13:13:00.000-07:00interesting - well, i will try & read the 'code na...interesting - well, i will try & read the 'code name god' book that sounds pretty interesting!! though I have been a bit sckeptical about yogis, myself...Maddyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18163804773843409980noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8246242407524037999.post-81976990784115273152007-09-13T11:45:00.000-07:002007-09-13T11:45:00.000-07:00naveen,Thanks for visiting me.. must say this ia a...naveen,
Thanks for visiting me.. must say this ia a very enlightening post... S...Naveen,

I'm also pretty interested in this topic. Suggest reading the following books:
1. Tao of Physics by Fritjof Capra
2. The elegant universe by Brian Greene
3. The Dancing Wu Li Masters
4. Read books by Micheal Kaku
5. Books by Roger Penrose

I'm extremly sceptical about people trying to relate religion to science. However, I do think there are different ways of interpreting the same thing and have noticed that there are startling parallels between what science especially Physics of large and small things - and what the vedas and upanishads say about the universe, matter etc. One thing we MUST not do is to fall into the trap of believing lots of crap put out by psedo "gurus" and people like that on parallels between science and religion. Check out the essay "Cargo cult science" by Richard P Feynman for a different point of view.Prasanthhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15361097905671284394noreply@blogger.com
